Recently I wrote a blog post on how imagery can transform your brand, and since then I have gotten multiple requests to share how to create the look of my styled emails. So I finally got around to creating a tutorial for you!
Warning: This is my first ever attempt at creating a screen capture tutorial, so I apologize for any audio or visual rookie mistakes! If you have any questions feel free to send them my way in the comments!

SO excited to use this and then realized it doesn’t work on pages 🙁 Thanks for a great inspirational tutorial. Any of find a sneak around?
Oh man sorry for the bummer! Can you clarify what you mean by pages so I can see if I can help you further? XO! You can alwasy send me an email at megan@meganmartin.net!
Such great ideas! I’m trying to add a new signature and g-mail is saying it’s too long… do you know a way around this… It’s really not that long
Hi Megan, just wanted to say thank you so much for this tutorial. Really helpful and I am so excited to send out my first email. It was shared by a fellow cake artist, Meghan Martinez and she said you love local to her which is brill.
Anyways, got 1 concern though – every time I used my saved canned response, my signature is being doubled. Is this normal? I can just of course delete the other signature, but if there’s a way on how to avoid that another step, that would be great.
[…] that simply come easily to you, may be mind blowing to someone else!In 2016 I wrote another post on how to make your Gmail signature look pretty. Let’s be honest, this is not mind blowing material. I know plenty of very successful […]
I made the box have no borders in Word, but the borders show up when I paste into Gmail settings. I’ve even tried making the borders white so they wouldn’t show, but they still show up as the black box. Any advice?
Ahhh I have never heard of that happening! Are you using Chrome as your browser? I would try that if not as that is what I use!
I finished the graphic and then it said it was too large of a signature! Do you know how I’d go and fix this issue?
Thanks!
I’ve had this question pop up a few times. I suggest trying a different browser (I used Chrome!). I’ve never actually seen this issue in person!
I loved this! Thank you. It was very helpful.
It took a lot of playing around to get things just the way that I wanted but I did figure it all out.
I had the same problem with not being able to make the table disappear. I switched to Google Docs and was able to do it that way.
Hope this helps anyone with the same problem in the future.
Oh good to know! Thank you for sharing that!
